About PERDOSKI

Learn about the history, vision, and organizational structure of PERDOSKI — the Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology.

History of PERDOSKI

The Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (PERDOSKI) was born from the commitment of Indonesian dermatologists and venereologists to unite within a single, organized professional body dedicated to public health.

Founding Committee (1965)

On 30 March 1965, an Ad Hoc Committee was formed to prepare the establishment of a professional organization for Indonesian dermatologists and venereologists. This committee laid the groundwork before the organization officially came into being.

Establishment of PADVI (10 January 1966)

On 10 January 1966, the organization was officially founded as the Persatuan Ahli Dermato-Venereologi Indonesia (PADVI). The inaugural congress was attended by 42 founding members with the following board:

  • Chairperson: Prof. Dr. M. Djoewari
  • Vice Chairperson: Dr. Soenarto
  • Secretary: Dr. Tani Tjahjadi
